As a former prosecutor in the Denver District Attorney’s Office and a longtime practicing lawyer in Colorado, I can attest to the fact that the office of the district attorney is a complicated job that requires courtroom experience and independent thinking. I had the good fortune to work under both a Republican and a Democrat in the DA’s office and saw firsthand that it is not a job for a politician. Even though we elect the DA, it is not a political position. As people decide who they will vote for in the coming days, I urge everyone to look at courtroom and prosecution experience, not party affiliation. This is why I am supporting Helen Morgan for Denver district attorney.
