Prosecutors in Adams County on Friday formally charged a 24-year-old man .
Jason Lee Trevino is suspected of first-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Antonio Torres at the Eastgate Mobile Home Park on the 3000 block of East Bridge Street.
Brighton police officers called out to the stabbing scene early Tuesday found Torres unresponsive and bleeding from multiple knife wounds outside one of complex’s mobile homes.
Torres was taken to University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora where he died during surgery, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office said in a Friday news release.
Authorities say Trevino and Torres were involved in an altercation hours before the stabbing.
Trevino is next due in court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 16.
