A stretch of Interstate 70 in the mountains was shut down Friday night by a vehicle fire.
Westbound lanes of the highway were closed near East Vail by a semi-truck fire, according to a 10:48 p.m. Twitter post by the Colorado State Patrol.
WB I 70 Closed at MP 195 due to a vehicle fire. Highway 91 is your alternative route to Vail. No estimate on reopening right now.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible. An alternate route is Colorado 91, according to the CSP.
