No. 8 Windsor beat No. 1 Denver South 42-21 at All-City Stadium on Saturday, using five interceptions and a pair of defensive scores to advance past the previously undefeated Rebels.

In a game tied 14-14 after one half, the defending champion Wizards (9-3) got a huge momentum boost on the first play of the second half when senior quarterback Brad Peeples ran 65 yards for a score to give the Wizards a lead they never relinquished.

Windsor now takes on No. 5 Broomfield in the semifinal next Saturday, a rematch from when the two teams met in non-conference play on Sept. 16. The Eagles won that game, 37-25.
