Bryan Dayton, co-owner of Boulder’s OAK at fourteenth, has signed a lease at PearlWest in Boulder. Though Dayton has not released details about the concept at 1023 Walnut St., the rooftop restaurant and bar will offer unobstructed views of the mountains.

“When I first moved to Boulder in the mid ’90s, I remember the incredible views at West End Tavern – which, unfortunately, are now blocked by new construction,” Dayton said in a press release. “When the opportunity came to me, I couldn’t pass it up. It’s an unbelievable space and I’m thrilled to be able to bring those mountain views back to the Boulder community. We have a ton of new energy here, a lot of passion — it’s an exciting new chapter.”

Though Dayton has worked with chef Steve Rezikowski at OAK at Fourteenth, Acorn and Brider, the duo won’t work on this concept in its day-to-day operations. Redzikowski has served as a consultant on the project regarding kitchen design and operations. “My passion lies in the kitchen and I will continue to stay focused on our current projects while offering any support Bryan might need in Boulder,” Redzikowski said.

The yet-to-be-named restaurant is slated for an early summer opening in 2017.
