Denver residents should expect sunshine and a high in the 40s Tuesday, before the mercury dips, according to the National Weather Service.
“It will be a cool down and then a swift warm up,” said Natalie Gusack, NWS meteorologist.
Skies will turn cloudy and the temperature will slide to a high of 27 degrees on Wednesday before the sun returns Thursday pushing the high to 53 degrees.
“Friday, we may see some snow. We’re not expecting any accumulation but snow nonetheless,” Gusack said.
While Denver gets sunshine Tuesday, five inches of snow is expected to fall in mountain areas.
On the northern plains by the Wyoming border there is a slight chance of snow on Wednesday night and more snow is expected across the plains on Friday, Gusack said.
