Shirtless man cited. On Nov. 26, police spotted a shirtless man crossing the street outside Castle Rock Bar & Grill, 302 N. Wilcox St. Castle Rock, and stopped him for questioning. The very drunk man said a black man in a purple shirt had just scratched him outside the bar and he was looking for him to fight. He used racial slurs. Officers located the man in purple nearby. That man said the drunken man confronted him when he arrived at Castle Rock Bar & Grill and said he couldn’t drink there because he was black. He later followed him and his friends out of the bar and pushed some of them, leading the man in purple to shove him to the ground. The shirtless man was cited for disorderly conduct. The other man refused to press charges.
Unlocked and unloaded. A man discovered Dec. 4 that someone had entered his truck in the driveway of his home in the 5600 block of Water Oak Circle, Castle Rock, and stole his 9 mm pistol and two magazines with hollow point bullets from the center console. He thinks he forgot to lock the truck when bringing in some items the night before.A movie and a drink or 12. On Dec. 4, police responded to reports of a man passed out in the road near the United Artist Meadows 12 theater, 9355 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree. He was taken to detox for excessive alcohol consumption.
Serial scofflaw learns about Move Over law. Lone Tree officers watched a black SUV not move over a lane when passing an emergency scene near the intersection of Interstate 25 and County Line Road Dec. 2, violating state law. When they pulled the driver over, they discovered his licensed had been revoked. He was arrested.
