Getting your player ready...

Offense — F

This unit could receive a failing grade every week for its ineptitude. No one had a good game on this side of the ball from the coaches, quarterback , offensive line, running backs or receivers. It’s just a bad offense.

Defense — F

The first quarter was the worst display the defense had all season allowing 21 points and 243 yards. Injuries to key players hurt, but the problems against the run showed up again, allowing 238 yards, 484 total.

Special teams — F

Kalif Raymond isn’t ready for a full-time returner job, that much was apparent Sunday. He had his worst game as a pro, muffing one punt that he recovered, and then fumbling a kickoff return. A failed fake field-goal attempt  potentially took three points off the board, which could have made it a one-score game heading into halftime.

Coaching — F

The Broncos didn’t look like they had much fight or energy in a huge Sunday night game. That falls poorly on the coaches getting their group ready. Broncos coach may need to make some staff changes, particularly on the offensive side.

Game balls

1. :  The Chiefs’ big-play tight end took a bubble screen 80 yards for the score to deepen the Broncos deficit. He finished with 11 catches for 160 yards and that touchdown.

2. Tyreek Hill: His 70-yard touchdown run showed the effort level the defense would display for the entire first quarter. He wasn’t on the field much, but he beat the Broncos’ defenders every time he was.

3. Dee Ford: He had his way against Broncos right tackle Donald Stephenson notching three quarterback hits and countless more pressures.
