Aurora police arrested a woman in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Aurora Friday night.
The pedestrian was hit around 9:30 p.m. while crossing East Colfax Avenue between Nome and Oswego streets, according to the Aurora Police Department. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver initially left the scene but drove by later, police say. Witnesses pointed out the vehicle to police, who took the woman into custody a few blocks away.
The woman is charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and driving under the influence. She is being held on a $20,000 bond. Police have not released any names.
