Denver’s high temperature could top 50 degrees on Sunday, and Monday, but colder weather, and some snow, is expected later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.

“The next chance for snow comes on Tuesday starting in the afternoon,” said Paul Schlatter, NWS meteorologist. “It’s only a slight chance, but at this point it doesn’t look like any significant amount.”

The snow will leave by Wednesday,  and high temperatures are expected to be in the 20s through Friday, Schlatter said.

Roads remain snow-packed and icy along the Interstate 70 corridor, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Snow is expected to fall in the high country through Wednesday, beginning on Sunday night.
