It’s the Willy Wonka golden ticket of concerts.

Summit Music Hall is giving one person a pair of free tickets to every show at the concert venue, including sold out ones, for the rest of 2018, Live Nation Colorado spokeswoman Zoe Lanterman said. The contest comes as the venue builds hype for its reopening following renovations that started June 20.

The Golden Ticket contest started Wednesday at 10 a.m. and runs two weeks until Aug. 15 at 10 p.m. People need to enter.

This is the first time Summit and Live Nation, which , have hosted a contest like this in Denver, Lanterman said. She said there’s a possibility for similar contests in years down the line.

The venue reopens Sep. 6 for electronic band STS9. Once renovations are completed, the space will have increased its capacity, improved facilities for artists and patrons and re-done sight lines.

Other shows this year include Against Me!, Gwar and Hatebreed, Lily Allen, Thrice, 3OH!3 and more. Find the calendar at
