Denver’s temperatures are back in the normal range for this time of year

Sunday, skies are expected to be partly sunny with a high temperature of 44 degrees in the metro area, according to the National Weather Service.

It is expected to warm through the week with temperatures in the low 50s on Monday, and Tuesday, then climbing into the 60s, on Wednesday, and hitting 68 degrees on Thursday.

In the mountains, snow is likely early Sunday said meteorologist Natalie Gusack, with Summit County and surrounding areas seeing accumulations of 1 inch to 4 inches.

There is a dense fog advisary for the area around Steamboat Springs until 9 a.m., Gusack said.

The mercury in the high country is expected to top out in the mid-30s on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday should see further warming into the 40s.
