Shoplifter drives into security employee. A shoplifter sprinted from Hobby Lobby, 14400 E. Alameda Ave., on Jan. 27 after setting the store alarm off. A security employee ran after her and stepped in front of her car to block her from getting away. The suspect put the car in drive and hit the employee, who latched onto on the hood of her car. The security employee rolled off the car before it sped away.
Cement pipes. Police were called to the 14600 block of East 2nd Avenue because a man said that his ex girlfriend poured cement down the drains in his kitchen, bathroom and laundry room Jan. 21. The suspect was staying at the victim’s place while he was out of town, and police couldn’t find her.
Cart full of loot. Two men went into Safeway, 1200 S. Buckley Road, and loaded a shopping cart with $600 worth of meats and foods. They left the store without paying Jan. 29 and drove off.
Parking lot slashing. Someone saw a man walk up to a white Nissan that was parked outside the Aurora Town Center Mall, 14200 E. Alameda Ave., and cut one of the car’s tires Jan. 27. The victim was a woman who was borrowing the car from her nephew.
Work truck break in. A man called police Jan. 24 because someone broke into his work van while it was parked outside his home in the 960 block of South Ivory Circle and stole a gas generator and his stereo.
BB damage. A man who lives in the 470 block of South Potomac Way reported that someone shot a BB gun at his car and cracked one of the windows Jan. 20.
