Denver residents can look forward to more warm weather this week, with only a small chance of moisture on Sunday, before the possibility of snow on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a slight chance of showers in Denver and on the plains on Sunday, and Sunday night, with day-time temperatures as high as 67 degrees.
Monday is expected to be sunny, with a high of 64, and on Tuesday, the mercury could shoot up to 73 degrees.
Wednesday will be sunny with a high of 69 degrees.
On Thursday, there is a chance of rain and snow, and a high of 46 degrees.
“Normal for this time of year is right around 47 degrees,” said Kyle Frieden, NWS meteorologist.
A ridge of high pressure is in place that blocks colder temperatures, he added.
In the high country there is a chance of snow starting Sunday afternoon, and into tomorrow, Frieden said. Snow fall will be between 1- and 5-inches, Frieden said.
