It will be a sunny day in the Denver metro area Monday, with the high temperature well above normal.

The high is expect to be around 62 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

In the mountains, a total of between 2 to 5 inches of snow is expected Monday.

The high could reach 74 on Tuesday, the NWS predicts. Wednesday is expected to be another sunny day, with above-normal temperatures.

A storm is expected to reach Denver Thursday morning. There is a 40 percent chance of snow, mostly after 11 a.m.

The high temperature will be around 43 degrees. Friday will be partly sunny with a high near 36 degrees.

The highs will be in the low 40s on the weekend, weather forecasters predict.
