Now that February weather decided to show up, it seems like it’s going to stick around for a bit.

The Denver metro area is expected to be partly cloudy Saturday with highs in the upper 30s and lows around 12-16 degrees, National Weather Service spokesman Jim Kalina said. Sunday should be sunny with highs in the 30s as well.

After a dry weekend, things may get wet at the start of the week. Monday night has a 10 percent chance of snow, which grows to 30 percent Tuesday, Kalina said.

Those heading to the mountains should expect a cold and breezy weekend. There’s a 50 percent chance of snow this weekend with meteorologists predicting a potential 1-4 inches. Highs should range from 12-20 degrees and lows should hang between minus-5 to 5 degrees.

Winds of 15-25 mph are expected with gusts reaching 35 mph. After midnight, the wind chill should be about minus-10 to minus-20, he said.
