Denver and the eastern plains could see some snow on Tuesday, but will have mostly clear skies through Thursday, with day time temperatures in the high 30s, and 40s.

Sunday is expected to be sunny, with a high of 38 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

On Monday, the mercury could climb to 46 degrees, and skies are expected to be partly cloudy.

There is a 40 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, and snow is possible in the evening as well.

Wednesday is expected to be sunny, with a high of 37 degrees, and Thursday, temperature could climb to 48 degrees, the NWS said.

Heavy snow and strong winds are expected in much of the high country, from Monday morning through Tuesday evening.

Total snow accumulations of up to 22 inches are possible, and wind could lead to significant reductions in visibility, the NWS said.
