Nathaniel Rateliff, Isaac Slade to play huge Colorado music education benefit concert

A handful of Denver’s biggest music names will come together this spring for the first annual Take Note The Concert, a benefit show for Colorado music education.

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats will headline the show, which is set for May 4 at Broomfield’s FirstBank Center. Rateliff and co. will be joined by Isaac Slade, Todd Park Mohr and . Denver Comedian Josh Blue and 䰿’Bret Saunders will MC the evening. (Full disclosure: Saunders also writes for The Denver Post.)

Tickets to the show are $25-$55 and go on sale March 10 at 10 a.m. via . VIP tickets will also be available for $250.

Proceeds from the show will help establish grant funds for the Colorado Music Coalition (CMC), a newly formed nonprofit aimed at supporting Colorado music programs and cultural activities. Take Note Colorado is a Governor Hickenlooper-led initiative within the CMC that will champion music education programs in Colorado schools, as well as students’ access to musical instruments.
