Paulino Cornejo, of Colorado Springs, “suffered a medical emergency” and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, according to Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter and the county sheriff’s office.

“His cause and manner of death are yet to be determined,” Cotter said Friday morning.

Cornejo was arrested Wednesday night by a Colorado State Patrol trooper on suspicion of driving under the influence and was transported to jail intake in the Dennis Maes Judicial Building.
