A drenching, slow-moving storm brought mostly rain and fog to the Front Range Tuesday and into Wednesday.
The chance for rain decreases throughout Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. After dropping to the lower 30s overnight, temperatures are expected to rise to around 51 degrees.
It will be breezy at times, with winds gusting up to 23 mph, weather forecasters say.
Snow fell on the western and southern edges of the Denver metro area. A total of 1 to 2 inches of new snow was possible along the Palmer Divide Douglas and Elbert Counties.
On Thursday it will be mostly sunny with a high near 65 degrees.
There’s a 30 percent chance that it will rain after midnight early Friday morning, the NWS says. The rain could turn to snow Friday morning. The chance for precipitation on Friday increases to 80 percent.
The high temperature on Friday is expected to be near 53 degrees, according to the NWS.
Rain and show is also expected on Saturday. The high temperature will be around 45 degrees. The low temperature will be around 30 degrees early Sunday morning.
Temperatures will rise on Sunday to around 56 degrees and on Monday to about 59, according to the NWS. There is a slight chance for rain and snow on Tuesday.
