As its telecom rival Level 3 Communications prepares to be acquired, Zayo Group said Tuesday that it has from Level 3 to be its new president and chief operating officer.
Zayo, which is based in Boulder, was founded in 2007 by former Level 3 executives. The company has grown by acquisition and helps businesses with their private broadband networks needed between office locations around the world. Level 3, also in the fiber and networking business, is set later this year.
Crouch, who starts at Zayo on April 27, most recently served as regional president of Europe, Middle East and Africa for Level 3. He will oversee Zayo’s global Communications Infrastructure business and be based in Denver. He replaces Chris Morley, who will stay on through the transition. The company said Morley “will be sorely missed.”
