Grab some sunscreen. Friday kicks off a weekend of sunny skies and warm temperatures.

The temperatures should be in the mid-70s Friday, with clear skies and a few puffy clouds here and there, National Weather Service meteorologist Nezette Rydell said. It looks to be nice weather for the start at 2:10 p.m. The low should fall to the mid-40s overnight.

The sunny streak is expected to stick around for the weekend, Rydell said. Saturday’s high should be in the low-70s, dropping to the upper-30s at night. Sunday is expected to be cooler with highs in the mid-50s and lows hanging at the bottom of the 30s.

People looking to take advantage of the weather for some outdoor adventuring in the mountains can expect some sun as well with a slight chance of showers Saturday. The high Friday in the high country is expected to range from 41 to 51 degrees and the low should be from 28 to 36 degrees.
