The Shins added—four—special shows to its in support of its just-released fifth—album, “Heartworms,” including one at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

What’s so special about these gigs? Fellow ’90s alt-rock luminaries—Spoon will perform as—the supporting act.

The bands will play Red Rocks on Oct. 5. Tickets to the double-bill are $49.95 – $55 and go on sale April 14 at 10 a.m. via .

The show will mark Spoon’s third in Colorado this year. The band is also playing in August.

The bands also announced double headline shows in—Berkeley, San Diego and Phoenix.
