Re: “” April 18 letters to the editor.

While I agree with letter-writer Myron Spanier that there is no law stating a president has to release their tax returns, every recent president has done so.

Trump said in 2012 that Mitt Romney should release his returns, yet somehow he is above this? Trump has broken promise after promise of when he’ll release his returns. If Mr. Spanier is worried that President Barack Obama’s scholastic records were not released (graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, by the way), why isn’t he demanding Trump’s records from Wharton Business School? The commencement program there of 1968 does not list Trump graduating with any kind of honors. Or, speaking of education, how about questioning the fraud lawsuits against Trump University?

Trump campaigned on a long list of “secret” answers he had to every problem we face. So far none of his secret answers have been revealed, only indications that he’s in it for self-enrichment, with no sign of ethical conduct or transparency.

Please copy, frame and distribute to all members of The Denver Post’s editorial board Myron Spanier’s Open Forum letter of April 18. It was so accurate, succinct and true that its message must be preserved as a reminder to the board. No better place than framed and on the wall of The Post’s offices!
