Denver’s popular City Park Jazz, which presents free Sunday evening concerts featuring only local musicians, has announced its 2017 schedule, featuring an eclectic collection of talent.

The 31st season will span 10 Sunday evenings June 4, with concerts set for 6 to 8 p.m. at City Park Pavilion.

Acts run a gamut that includes the soul-funk-do-wop mix of , the sultry sound of vocalist Linda Styles, and the supercharged blend of bluegrass/jazz from Pete Wernick & Flexigrass.

“Our lineup this year includes some fantastic local jazz greats,” Bob Nelson, president of the nonprofit City Park Jazz Board of Directors, said in a press release. “We’re reaching across genres and styles to really provide something for everyone who loves the community we call home.”

City Park Jazz has also put out a call for concert volunteers and sponsors. The all-volunteer event needs people to make it happen, the organization said.
