Spring storm could dump up to 4 inches of snow on Denver, Front Range

A blustery storm could drop up to 4 inches of new snow along the Front Range Friday night into Saturday, forecasters say.

Rain will turn to snow Friday night at about 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Between 2 to 4 inches of snow could fall Friday and early Saturday morning, the weather service reports.

In Denver Thursday, mostly cloudy skies will bring a 30 percent chance of rain showers as the high temperature tops out at 56 degrees, the weather service said. On Friday, the chance for showers increases to 40 percent with a high temperature expected to reach about 48 degrees.
