Denver police bomb experts have responded to the report of suspicious objects found near a tree and garbage can near the Denver Athletic Club parking garage.

Raquel Lopez, Denver police spokeswoman said police were called around 10 a.m. Tweets from the scene showed a half dozen sealed, liquid-filled bottles standing near a tree.

Police closed the sidewalk near the parking garage, and the Denver bomb squad was called. But Lopez said investigators determined that evacuations from nearby buildings were not necessary.

She said she could not confirm reports that the objects appeared to be Molotov cocktails.
