Aurora police Sunday night were investigating a stabbing that left one man dead, two associates wounded and another man in jail.
The man was stabbed at 5:22 p.m. in the City Center North neighborhood near the intersection of Ellsworth Avenue and Sable Boulevard, police spokeswoman Crystal McCoy said in a bulletin sent via social media.
At the scene, police also found a woman and another man bleeding with stab wounds. These two were taken to a hospital and we in stable condition late Sunday.
Nearby, police found a man suspected in the stabbings and arrested him without incident at 5:47 p.m. for investigation of homicide, the bulletin said.
“The suspect and victims are all known to one another.”
It wasn’t clear what happened. Aurora police dispatchers and a commander declined to provide details. The agency’s on-call spokesperson did not respond to queries.
