What has this world come to? Doesn’t anybody have any true integrity? Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays and plays Christian music throughout its stores. It’s been said that its owners are “devout Christians.”
I was always kind of rooting for them for living their faith through their business practices — but so long, Hobby Lobby; hello, Michaels or Target. The owners of Hobby Lobby “smuggled ancient Iraqi religious artifacts and intentionally mislabeled them for import.” Steve Green, Hobby Lobby’s president, and owner of the largest collection of religious artifacts in the world, is opening a Museum of the Bible this fall.
Shame on Green — he paid a $3 million fine and said he should have been more careful in buying the artifacts. Really? What would Jesus do? Shop elsewhere.
