COLORADO SPRINGS — Two found dead on the side of a road near Fountain earlier this year were forced into “execution position” and shot one at a time at close range — allegedly the result of a feud over a stolen purse.

Marquez detailed a gruesome version of events surrounding the March 11 killings during a voluntary confession that came after Colorado Springs police found him wandering in a street and “falling into traffic” a week after the shootings.

The bodies of were found on Old Pueblo Road near Fountain.

According to the newly released court document, both bodies had “multiple gunshot wounds” — a circumstance investigators had previously declined to address.

In the affidavit, written by El Paso County sheriff’s investigator Rosario Hubbell, Marquez described how the teens were abducted and forced into a vehicle before their executions. He told authorities that Diego Chacon killed Cano-Partida with two gunshots and handed his gun to Marco Antonio Garcia Bravo, who killed Greer moments later with several rounds.
