The great QB debate

Trevor Siemian or Paxton Lynch? The debate over who should be the Broncos’ starting quarterback has raged on (and on and on) all summer long.

Siemian will get the first crack to show the team what he’s got when he  (6 p.m. Thursday, KTVD-20; 850 AM, 103.5 FM). The third-year QB says a switch flipped and “” when it comes to seeing the offense. Lynch, the Broncos’ first-round pick in 2016, will get his chance to start next week against the 49ers. Is there a third option? After a radio report saying Denver was pursuing Bengals’ A.J. McCarron, Broncos president of football operations with: “Rumor of us being interested in anyone other than the QBs we have is another example of irresponsible, fake news!!”

While that’s up in the air, it looks like this year’s first-round pick, Garett Bolles, is . And for in the preseason opener.

Regardless of who you think should be the QB, we can all agree with this: Football’s back, baby.
