It’s going to be hot and mostly dry in the Denver metro area with temperatures rising to levels rarely reached this summer by Saturday.
The high temperature on Friday will be around 90 degrees and about 94 on Saturday.
It’s not blazing heat but it’s hotter than it has been in an unusually mild August along the Front Range.
Storms with wind gusts up to 40 mph and brief light rain are possible in a few scattered areas.
It will be sunny again but markedly milder on Sunday with a high of about 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Rain will become a scarce weather phenomenon along the Front Range Monday through Thursday.
Temperatures will be ping ponging from the mid-to-upper 80s, with lows in the upper 50s or low 60s.
