Third man in 2015 Denver cabbie shooting gets 32 years in prison

The third man charged in the in 2015 was sentenced Friday in Denver District Court to 32 years behind bars.

Christian Willis, 20, to one count of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the botched robbery of Bloomquist, 49.

Willis was a juvenile at the time of the September 2015 homicide, but was arrested and charged as an adult earlier this year. A felony murder charge against Willis was dropped by prosecutors as part of his plea deal.

Willis made the call for a cab that lured Bloomquist, a married Air Force vet who drove for Metro Taxi, to a gated community in Denver’s Green Valley Ranch in the early morning hours of Sept. 5, 2015, police said. Twenty-one-year-old Dasean Perry, identified by police as the shooter, was charged with second-degree murder in the case and .

Nicholas McKinney, 19, was charged with aggravated robbery and menacing with a deadly weapon and . Police said he served as the lookout during the robbery.
