JOHNSTOWN –The will be the largest store in Northern Colorado, and highway officials are preparing for a giant-sized traffic snarl when the retailer opens Saturday.

The 250,000-square-foot sporting goods store at 4755 Ronald Reagan Blvd. in Johnstown’s 2534 development opens Saturday at 9 a.m. — after two hours of early-morning festivities in the parking lot.

The Colorado Department of Transportation sent a press release Thursday afternoon warning drivers that Interstate 25 and U.S. 34 in the area will be unusually busy Saturday and Sunday.
