Sunday’s weather will be picture-perfect with sunny skies and warm temperatures. But that won’t last.
“It looks beautiful right now, but we are going to get a big cold front this evening. And tonight the snow moves in and hangs around until tomorrow afternoon,” said Natalie Sullivan, a National Weather Service meteorologist.
The metro area is under a winter storm warning until 3 p.m. Monday, with a total of 4 to 7 inches of snow expected.
Colorado’s high country is expected to get 6 to 10 inches, with as much as 14 inches in Rocky Mountain National Park and other areas, Sullivan said.
The storm could drop 2 inches to 5 inches in areas farther east.
Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with temperatures in the upper 40s to mid-50s.
“On Wednesday, we should be back in the 60s,” Sullivan said.
