Re: “,” Oct. 12 news story.

I am so glad to read the article about Professor Tomi-Ann Roberts speaking out about her work and inspiration in studying the sexual objectification of women. Her awareness and frustration about “sexualized images of girls and women in the media” inspired me to finally share an issue that frustrates me every time I look in the sports section of The Denver Post. Whenever I open this section of the paper, the only woman’s image I can always find is the scantily dressed woman under the advertisement labeled “Enjoy Sex Again.” Is it just me who sees this as a little odd, in the sports section? It must sell the drugs they prescribe. While the present administration is cutting access to birth control and pro-choice options, this speaks to me of one of our society’s double standards. Please share more articles about the tremendous accomplishments of females athletes.
