I听am听appalled听by the editorial cartoon printed on Monday regarding the Boy Scouts handbook. The cartoon insinuates that because the Boy Scouts organization is now recruiting girls, it will have to dumb down the handbook: a turtle defined with a rabbit illustration, a Swiss army knife identified as a canteen. This cartoon is an insult to girls who may choose to join the Boy Scouts and an affront to all women. Printing this cartoon shows a complete lack of judgment on the part of The Denver Post.
