Northeast winds gusting up to 40 mph will drive temperatures to the lower 60s Monday in the Denver metro area, forecasters say.

The high temperature will be around 63 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

It will be sunny but remain in the 50s Tuesday, before a high of about 74 degrees on Wednesday.

There’s a 20 percent chance of afternoon rain on Thursday when temperatures are expected to drop again into the low 50s.

It gets even cooler on Friday under sunny skies.

Then a gradual warm up is expected over the weekend, with a high near 56 degrees on Saturday and a high of 62 on Sunday.
