Re: “,” Oct. 25 editorial.
The Denver Post makes no apologies of its hatred for President Donald Trump. At this point, it is just background noise. No one listens to it. However, I couldn’t believe the editorial regarding Sen. Jeff Flake’s challenge to others in the GOP. The editorial itself admitted he would not win his re-election bid. What better way to get out than to say he could no longer survive the current political climate yada yada.
What politicians are not getting is that people are sick of what we have. That is why Trump is president. It seems that Wall Street is happy with the current climate. If Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama were president, the more than 25 percent increase in the Dow since the election would be front-page news everyday.
Trump is doing everything he promised he would do. Please get over it. He won.

Your editorial unfortunately didn’t fully realize its headline. The editorial placed too much emphasis on the GOP leadership, calling for “former and outgoing elected officials” to “stand up and speak out” with regard to their patriotic duty to criticize, when warranted, Donald Trump.
Your editorial should have focused on all of the Republican voters who keep saying they are “socially liberal, fiscally conservative” to remember their patriotic duty to take the time to be active in their party; perhaps then it would not be captive to extremists.
