After a less than satisfying snow “storm” in Denver, forecasters say it’s still likely Denver will get some of the white stuff before noon today.

There’s no doubt snow will fall in the mountains, with 4 to 8 inches forecast for the foothills and mountains and up to a foot of snow in higher elevations.

Otherwise, freezing drizzle could make the roads hazardous, especially on bridges.

There is a 70 percent chance of snow before noon in the metro area, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Less than half an inch of snow is expected in Denver. Snow could continue to fall until around 10 p.m.

The high temperature will be around 33 degrees in Denver. The low Tuesday night will be around 22 degrees.

The brunt of the weak snow storm hit north of Denver in Fort Collins, Greeley and Boulder, forecasters say.

Sunshine is forecast for Wednesday. The high temperature will reach for 52 degrees, the NWS says.

Mostly clear skies are part of the forecast for the remainder of this week and the first part of next week with temperatures ranging from 51 on Thursday to 63 degrees by Monday.

It will be sunny with a high of 59 degrees on Veterans Day this Saturday.
