It won’t feel anything like mid-November Thursday in the Denver metro area as temperatures rocket to around 73 degrees.
The high temperature on Thursday could approach a record of 80 set in 2016, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Strong southwest breezes of up to 17 mph will make Denver residents feel like they are on Catalina Island.
The Southern California dreaming will end soon enough.
On Friday, there’s a 20 percent chance for rain beginning around 11 a.m. and a chance for snow Friday night. The chance for precipitation doubles to 40 percent as the day goes on.
The low temperature will be around 27 degrees. By Saturday morning up to a half inch of snow accumulation is possible.
The mountains could get anywhere from 6 to 12 inches of snow. Up to 16 inches of snow could fall along the Continental Divide.
The sun will make another appearance on Saturday, when temperatures rise to 46 degrees. It will be breezy with wind gusts up to 22 mph.
By Sunday, it will be sunny with temperatures rising to the upper 50s, the NWS says. High temperatures next week will fluctuate from the mid 50s to lower 60s Monday through Wednesday.
