A woman was fatally stabbed at an apartment complex on the north side of Longmont on Saturday evening.
Sgt. Matt Cage said police have not determined the exact circumstances which led to the stabbing but described the case as “tragic.”
“We are heartbroken for the family,” Cage said. “The police department is heartbroken at this.”
Cmdr. Eric Hulett said police responded to The Shores at McIntosh Lake, 2450 Airport Road, at about 6:15p.m. and found a woman who had been stabbed and taken to the hospital.
Police have not released the identity of the victim, but Hulett said police have a ‘strong suspect’ and were attempting to locate him on Saturday night.
