DENVER – A dump truck leaking fuel on westbound Interstate 70 and 6th Avenue created a traffic headache for commuters Sunday afternoon.
The crash was initially reported by CDOT on Twitter at 1:05 p.m. as an incident involving “multiple vehicles.”
Drivers on the road near where the crash took place snapped photos of the dump truck and said the crash must have happened at around 12:45 p.m.
By 1:50 p.m., CDOT officials said the crash involved a semi, adding traffic was unaffected at 6th Avenue and Colfax. I-70 west from 6th Avenue and C-470 was also suggested as an alternate route by CDOT officials.
