An Arapahoe County Sheriff鈥檚 deputy is on leave without pay following his arrest over the weekend.

William Morris, 36, was arrested in Elbert County on Sunday on assault, domestic violence and child abuse charges.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Denver7, Morris and the alleged victim got into an argument at his home in Elizabeth and Morris shoved the woman, injuring her.

Morris is facing two charges of child abuse because his children were in the home and witnessed the incident, according to the affidavit.
