A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus 128 years that left one person dead and three others hurt, according to prosecutors.

Darius Ratcliff’s sentence was handed down on Friday and follows his Dec. 4 conviction of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder in the shooting.

The shooting happened in November 2015 when Ratcliff, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office, opened fire on a group of people who were asked to leave a house party on the 100 block of South Bannock Avenue.

Ratcliff was attending the party, authorities say.

Thirty-two years of his prison term account for Ratcliff’s June conviction of for firing shots at police who were trying to arrest him in July 2016 in connection with the house-party shooting. during the encounter.
