It’s been a warm year.
Denver saw 14 record highs this year and no record lows, according to the National Weather Service. Those numbers include three monthly highs for February, September and November.
The metro area hasn’t set a record low since last year on Dec. 17. Official temperatures for the metro area are recorded at the Denver International Airport.
Meanwhile, the temperature for Saturday is still up in the air. If the cold air sticks around, temperatures in the metro area could be in the low 20s, NWS meteorologist Kyle Fredin said. But if it erodes, the metro area could see temperatures around 50 degrees.
Greeley and Longmont are expected to be in the lower 20s, he said. Boulder has a chance for 50 degrees.
The Front Range and urban corridor saw some flurries Saturday morning, paving the way for low clouds and mostly cloudy skies in the morning.
During 2017, Denver(DIA) observed 14 record highs and 0 record lows. This includes 3 monthly record highs (Feb, Sep, & Nov). The last time a record low was set was back on December 17, 2016.

Another surge of cold air comes in Sunday, putting temperatures in the 20s, Fredin said. Although there’s a chance for more flurries, no precipitation is expected. The skies should be partly cloudy by nighttime.
At 2:33 p.m., Breckenridge Ski Resort tweeted that it would be closing down for the rest of the day due to high winds. Winter Park Resort tweeted that the wind closed down some of the mountain’s lifts. High winds forced Eldora Mountain Resort to close Friday but it was open again Saturday.
