Both metro Denver and mountains are expected to have gusty winds Friday — but only one of them gets snow.
The urban corridor should be mostly cloudy with highs in the lower 40s, National Weather Service meteorologist Natalie Sullivan said. Nighttime temperatures should drop to between 15 and 20 degrees. Northwest winds are expected to be around 10 to 20 mph with gusts of up to 30 mph.
In the mountains, wind gusts are expected to reach 65 mph. Snow is likely to fall through the evening, dropping 3 to 7 inches. Temperatures look to be in the 20s and low 30s.

NWS issued a red flag warning for southeastern Colorado from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday due to gusty winds, low humidities and dry fuels.
Saturday should be partly cloudy with metro highs in the mid-40s, Sullivan said. Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the low 50s.
