The Denver Fire Department rescued two people stuck on a lift near the Cherry Creek Shopping Center on Saturday afternoon.

Fire Captain Robert Miller said it appeared that a couple of people were stuck at a construction site at 55 Cook St. outside the Alexan Cherry Creek Apartments.

Miller said the lift was being lowered just after noon.

Photos of the rescue tweeted out by the fire department show a fire truck ladder extending into the air next to a construction vehicle with a tall lift on top.
