Two Colorado Department of Corrections officers were cited for public indecency after a police officer found them having sex in a car parked at a 7-Eleven in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood.
Sarah Ippolito, 26, and Mary Torrez, 37, were wearing their department of corrections uniforms when a police officer found them at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Denver Police Department records. They were inside a silver Kia parked at the 7-Eleven on Peoria Street just north of Interstate 70.
The police report says the car was parked in a well-lit area and the two were visible from all of the car’s windows.
Torrez has been with the department since 2007 while Ippolito started at the beginning of 2016. A department of corrections spokesman said the agency does not comment on personnel issues.
The officers are scheduled to appear for arraignment on May 8.
