Denver on Sunday tied a record high for temperature set April 29, 1948, hitting 83 degrees, National Weather Service meteorologist Kyle Fredin said. It was the first day of the year with temperatures topping 80 degrees.
On April 12, Denver set a record for that date when it reached 79 degrees. This week, cooler temperatures are expected. The weather service forecasters predict snow in the mountains Tuesday and Wednesday with rain showers in Denver.
